Winemaker speaking
"Without any experience, I decided to make my passion my work. In 1993, I bought 6 hectares of vineyards and my first harvest failed completely. I asked my neighbours for help. These were the big wineries that had been assured of a good harvest for decades and they advised me to use pesticides and herbicides. I soon noticed that my health was going backwards. I decided right away to stop spraying and delve into organic wine. My decision to invest in organic alternatives was rewarded. My yield per hectare may have been less, but the quality of my wine improved by leaps and bounds, as did my health and energy.”
