About the winemaker
“In 1856 my family settled in the hills outside Bordeaux. I am the 6th generation to live and work here. When I took over the Chateau in 2005, I made an important decision. I decided to stop making bulk wines and focus on quality. To achieve this, I switched to organic farming and put scissors on my vines to drastically limit yields. I would describe the style of wine we make now as pure, pure and easily digestible.”

Weinig wijnregio’s hebben zo hun stempel op de wijnwereld weten te drukken als Bordeaux. Deze regio, gelegen in het zuidwesten van Frankrijk, wordt vaak beschouwd als het epicentrum van wijnliefhebbers. Tegenwoordig pronken de beroemde chateaus hier met hun rode wijnen. Toch worden er van oudsher ook veel witte wijnen gemaakt. Hoewl ze tegenwoordig gemaakt worden van sauvignon blanc, semillion en muscadelle stond er in het verleden ook aardig was sauvignon gris aangeplant. Hoewel inmiddels verboden, was dit voor wijnmaker Vincent reden genoeg om met deze druif aan de slag te gaan en een oude traditie in ere te herstellen.
