About the winemaker

“Our vineyard was not founded based on classic (family) traditions. No, we pursued our dream and started our own vineyard in Jumilla. Over the years, we have learned a lot, and now we make wines the way we think they should be; wines that let you enjoy everything that comes with them. Whether it's about having no or delicious food, good or less good company, wines that don't always stand out but certainly don't fall short. We find it to be the perfect middle ground between the two extremes!”

"Blackberry, herbal, earthy and bramble fruit nose. Powerful wine with layers of complexity, very plush fruit and careful wood management."

Jumilla, Spain
Jumilla is a region in the southeast of Spain. The region became famous in the nineteenth century when the grape phylloxera struck across Europe. Jumilla was one of the few regions where this pest could not attack. Jumilla experiences very hot summers with temperatures often exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, but the gentle breeze from the Mediterranean Sea brings relief. This Goru wine is a blend of Monastrell (50%), Syrah (30%), and Petit Verdot (20%). The Monastrell contributes flavors of deeply ripe fruit, chocolate, and creaminess. The Syrah adds spiciness and red fruit notes, while the Petit Verdot provides structure and fragrant flowers in the wine.

Fijne Spaanse wijn.
