About the winemaker
"Our wine cellar was actually only used for winemaking after the harvest. The rest of the year was spent working in the vineyards themselves. What a waste! So we decided to use the space for the rest of the year to create a non-alcoholic alternative to our wines. Just as complex and delicious, but just a little bit different."

Centraal gelegen in Nederland vind je de wijngaarden van het Betuws Wijndomein. Sinds 2004 zetten eigenaren Diederik Beker en Arina van Leenen in op duurzame wijnbouw in een regio die traditioneel niet bekend staat om de wijnproductie. Met ongeveer 7 hectare wijngaard en circa 21.500 wijnstokken zijn ze een van de grotere wijnhuizen in Nederland. Hier wordt gewerkt met rassen die goed aangepast zijn aan het Nederlandse klimaat en de rivierklei in de Betuwe. Naast wijnen maken ze met de ‘Firma Bruis’ sinds enkele jaren ook sparkling tea met verse kruiden om zo de niet-wijndrinker een volwaardig alternatief te kunnen bieden.
