About the winemaker
“Call it foresight, but our family, Vesco, was one of the first to specialize in producing dry wines. Although we started with a small vineyard, we acquired Cantine Rallo in 1997. Gradually, we renovated the beautiful buildings and invested in vineyards across three different regions of Sicily, with the aim of giving typically Sicilian grape varieties a platform.”

Sicilië, Italy
Sicily is a special place. Beyond its beautiful beaches, Mount Etna, and delicious cuisine, it is also a premier wine region. The soils are naturally rich in volcanic minerals, a sea breeze warms the island during winter, and it enjoys abundant sunshine. Less well-known is that the island has over 20 sub-regions and more than 65 indigenous grape varieties. It’s no wonder that Sicily has become increasingly popular among sommeliers for its wines made from these local grape varieties.
