About the winemaker

“The Amarone is undoubtedly the flagship of our winery. It is also the reason why my partner Massimo and I decided to start making wine together. After much tasting, we decided in 2005 to take a leap of faith and produced a small batch of Amarone, which, due to the strict regulations, we could only sell four years later. Back then, we could never have dreamt that our wines would be sold all over the world”

Veneto is located in the northeast of Italy and is one of the most renowned wine regions in the country. What makes the area so beautiful is the wide variety of wines you can find here. Veneto is home to the famous Prosecco bubbles, as well as white wines like Soave and Lugana. Red wine enthusiasts can also delight in the region's offerings, including the famous Valpolicella and Amarone wines. The best and most famous red wines from this region are often made using the Appassimento method. This winemaking technique involves late harvesting of the grapes, followed by a drying process that typically takes place in the winery's attic. As a result, about 40% of the moisture in the grapes evaporates, intensifying the flavors in the grapes. The outcome is wines with a lot of concentration and a beautifully soft structure, which is why these wines have gained worldwide fame.
