About the winemaker

"The name of our winery originates from the beautiful estate situated along an old Roman road. Love for wine was instilled from an early age. At the age of four, I was already sketching the grapevines that you can see on the label. I initially studied oenology at Agrario San Michele all'Adige, and in 2011, I took over the reins from my father. I have a deep passion for my work, and happily, the next generation is already showing interest. This is a good sign for the future!"

96/100 punten - James Suckling
“The deep and complex cherry cake nose leads you into a massive concentrated and seriously tannic red, which has better acidity than many Brunellos of this vintage. That really lifts the long and deep finish. You could drink this now, but it has at least a couple of decades ahead.” (2012 vintage)

Brunello, Italy
Brunello di Montalcino hails from the beautiful Italian region of Tuscany. Montalcino is the municipality located in the southern part of the Siena province. In 1967, the red wine obtained the status of D.O.C. and in 1980, it was promoted to D.O.C.G. The wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, locally known as Brunello di Montalcino. According to wine regulations, a Brunello must be aged for at least 4 years before it is released to the market. La Magia's Brunello undergoes vinification in stainless steel tanks and then ages for 36 months in 500-liter French oak barrels (barrique) and another year in the bottle.
