About the winemaker

“Portuguese wines used to suffer from the image of being robust, heavy wines with strong tannins. I'm glad we made a big leap in quality. I find it a challenge to work with different grape varieties. Each variety has unique characteristics that can complement each other perfectly. We have thoroughly analyzed our vineyards and replanted with both international and indigenous varieties that are suitable for the sunny climate while also being resistant to the sea breeze. We also invest a lot of time in researching new varieties."

8/10 Punten – Harold Hamersma, de Grote Hamersma
“Forse hoeveelheid druiven voor een aangenaam doordrinkbare, goedgeluimde tinto. Best best. Kerst kittig. Vrolijk zurig. Belandt beslist niet op de zwarte lijst.” (2018 vintage)

Lisboa, Portugal
Lisbon is a wine region in Portugal that was known as Estremadura until 2009. This area stretches north of the city of Lisbon, parallel to the Atlantic Ocean. The vineyards are located on gentle slopes with favorable sun exposure and benefit from the maritime climate. There is a constant sea breeze that moderates the temperature and contributes to good acidity in the wines. Portuguese winemakers are skilled at blending grape varieties, and in Lisboa, you can find a wide variety of indigenous and international grape varieties, including cabernet sauvignon.

Makkelijk wijntje, drinkt zo weg. Proeft smaakvol maar ‘gewoon’. Ik zou er niet mee pronken maar gewoon gezellig mee drinken.

Hele prettige en makkelijke wijn zonder slobberwijntje te worden.

Heerlijke bijna stevige wijn. Geschikt voor tijdens een borrel of op een feestje en al twee jaar onze huiswijn.
