About the winemaker

Our winery has been in the family for seven generations. I took over the reins from my father, Theo. Like my grandmother and mother, I also married a winemaker, so there's plenty of expertise in the family! We believe that the best wine is made when you give the grapes the proper attention and care. That's why we work biodynamically. Our wine is also given all the time it needs to mature. Our goal is to make vibrant wines where you can taste our care and the terroir of the Pfalz so beloved by our family!

Pfalz, Germany
The Pfalz is known for its rolling landscape and mild climate. This is why the region is sometimes described as "German Tuscany." These characteristics, combined with soils made of various rock types, such as sandstone and limestone, make the area one of Germany's most interesting and important wine regions. The region also has a rich viticultural tradition dating back to classical Roman times. The most widely planted grape in the Palatinate is Riesling, but Spätburgunder is also well represented. Traditionally, this grape doesn't always have to be red. Many winemakers, such as Regine, also produce a refreshing Blanc de Noir from it.
