About the winemaker

Our vineyards are situated at altitudes between 600 and 900 meters, at the foot of the Sierra de Armantes. Here, the summers are hot but the nights are cool, allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and retain their fresh acidity. The soils consist of limestone, clay, and stones. Exactly the kind of soil where the Garnacha grape feels at home.

90/100 James Suckling
"Ripe, nicely sweet-sour red berries with some hibiscus flowers and boysenberries. Round and firm on the palate, with fresh medium acidity and a medium-bodied palate. Brambly, fruity finish of medium length."

On the outskirts of the village of Cervera de la Cañada, in the rugged mountains of Aragon, lies Bodega San Gregorio. This bodega was founded in 1965 by a group of winegrowers who joined forces to preserve the region's old vineyards. What began as a local cooperative grew over the years into a producer with a clear mission: to showcase the unique character of their village, Calatayud, through its main grape, the Garnacha.
