About the winemaker
My brother and I grew up in our parents' restaurant. It wasn't surprising that we also ended up in the hospitality industry. My brother started working as a chef, and I became a sommelier. I was eventually even named the best sommelier in Spain and the second-best in the world. When my brother asked me to make wine together, I didn't hesitate. I knew immediately: this was a project we had to do.

Valencia, Spain
As early as the 5th century AD, the Phoenicians planted the first vines in the area around Valencia. However, the DOC has only existed since 1957. The region encompasses the entire Mediterranean coastline south of Barcelona. The soil here consists of a mixture of limestone, sand, and clay. From the warm beaches, the terrain gradually rises, and the climate also takes on more continental characteristics. The Bruno Murciano winery is located in Utiel-Requena, at an altitude of 850 to 950 meters above sea level. This gives the wines an unmistakably fresh style. The old vines here also yield a unique blend of old, unknown, yet local grape varieties. It is precisely through this unique blend of local grape varieties that the Bruno Murciano winery exudes the rich history and character of Valencia.
