About the winemaker

“Fusion and balance — those are our magic words! Not only do we blend the juice of native grape varieties with that of internationally successful ones, we also love making wines that are versatile. Our white blend can be served as an aperitif, with hearty paella, or even with spicy Asian cuisine. The same goes for the red Catalan Eagle: fresh enough for tapas, yet bold enough to pair with a barbecue.”

Terra alta, Spain
Terra Alta is located in the southern part of Catalonia, southwest of Tarragona. The climate is characterized by very hot summers and cold winters with little rainfall. Due to its geographically isolated location, wine was until recently produced here mainly for local consumption, typically using traditional vinification methods. However, new wineries and young oenologists have introduced the latest technologies, giving the region a quality boost. The focus is on fresh and fruity wines made from traditional Spanish grapes like macabeu, pansa blanca, garnacha, and cariñena. Nowadays, there's also experimentation with international varieties such as viognier, syrah, and cabernet sauvignon. This is truly a region to watch.

Prima wijn, tannines zeker aanwezig, beetje samentrekkend mondgevoel.

Vriendelijke lange afdronk. Erg goed uitgebalanceerd.
