About the winemaker

“The story of our winery began over 400 years ago with the draining of the marshland near the village of Pujaut, close to Avignon. Part of this reclaimed land was returned to local farmers, who planted the first grapevines there. The white, limestone-rich soil turned out to be ideal for winemaking. In particular, the region’s characteristic rich white blends are made even more intriguing thanks to the mineral-rich ground."

Mango and rhubarb, rich and full-bodied, with tangy precise acidity. Rich pear on the palate. Plenty of juicy fruit; concentrated, vibrant and exuberant. Bravo!

Pujaut is a charming village in the Rhône Valley, just north of Avignon. In 1612, King Louis XIII had a marshland in the area drained, revealing a stretch of limestone-rich soil. Part of this land was returned to local farmers, who decided to plant grapevines there. The plain can still be recognized today by its distinctive white hue, a result of the high limestone content. Even now, most residents tend to small plots of vineyard land as a hobby. The grapes are delivered to the local cooperative, which is renowned as one of the finest in France.
