About the winemaker

“A beautiful Tuscan-style castle once stood on the site of our winery. Unfortunately, in a fit of heartbreak, the then owner decided to demolish the castle in the 19th century. With this he hoped to reverse fate and thus find love. Only the tower, stables and vineyards were preserved. When I bought the estate in 2015, I decided to convert the stables into a winery. In order to restore the winemaking traditions of the old chateau.”

Loire, France
The French Loire used to be a popular holiday destination for the Parisian nobility. They also built the castles for which the region is now so famous. However, besides these castles, there is much more to discover in this region, and of course we mean the wine! It is also the region of Sancerre, Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and sparkling Vouvray. The Muscadet, less known in the Netherlands, also comes from here. These refreshing wines are produced at the tip of the Loire Valley, in the area around the city of Nantes. Here the vineyards are full of Melon de Bourgogne grapes. Because they are close to the Atlantic Ocean, a salty sea wind blows along the vines. This results in wines with an almost salty minerality that goes well with seafood. It is therefore not surprising that the French love it.

Frisse en fruitige verrassing met hints van groene appel en citrus. Perfect voor een zomerse dag, heerlijk bij zeevruchten of gewoon om van te genieten op het terras. Een echte aanrader voor wie houdt van een sprankelende witte wijn
