About the winemaker

“In Portugal we have been making field blends for centuries. To do this, we harvest all the grapes from a vineyard at the same time and ferment them together. Normally we use typical Portuguese grape varieties for this, but especially for this wine we have chosen to also use a part of cabernet sauvignon for extra body and structure."

Lisboa, Portugal
Most people know Lisbon as the ideal location for city trips or holidays, but Lisbon is much more than that! For example, the wine region around Lisbon is also called the bread basket of Portugal, because the soil is very fertile and many other crops such as grain and fruit are grown in addition to grapes. The vineyards are located on soils of lime, clay and sandstone and the sun can shine mercilessly. The perfect conditions for warm, ripe wines with soft tannins and a warm character. This makes it perhaps one of the most dynamic and varied wine regions in Portugal. This produces concentrated, strong red wines, but also white wines that take years to 'drink'. In general it can be assumed that the best vineyards in this area are located north and west of the capital, along the Atlantic coast.

Uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Fantastisch lekkere doordrink wijn.
