Aligote is Burgundy's rising star. Not surprising, because wines made from this grape provide a lot of value for money. This also applies to David's incredibly delicious wine, full of lively minerals and yellow apple.

About the winemaker

“Domaine Berthault is primarily a family business, located on the edge of the village of Moroges. In this small hamlet you will find more vines than inhabitants, so we had no choice but to take over the domain from our parents. Because we are aware that our soil and terroir determine the quality of our wines, my sister and I do all the work in the vineyards completely manually. We do stick to our “family recipe” and we mature the wines in wood for at least a year.”

Bourgogne, France
The Dutch term "Burgundian" refers to the 15th century, in which the French royal family and the dukes of Burgundy expanded their power to our Low Countries. They introduced us to a lifestyle of luxury and wealth. It is not without reason that when you hear this term, you immediately think of long tables with delicious food and fantastic wines. It is therefore not surprising that Burgundy is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. These wines are usually made from chardonnay or, in the case of red wine, pinot noir. What many people don't know is that aligoté is also grown there. In fact; the grape has been in the vineyards here for more than 200 years. This white grape variety is a natural cross between Pinot Noir and the rare Gouais Blanc. Wines made from this grape are generally a lot fresher than those made from Chardonnay. This makes them not only beautiful meal accompaniments, but also ideal for drinks. This makes them very popular among the Burgundian Burgundians.
