About the winemaker

“Continuing the family business was inevitable for me, because I did not want to lose the knowledge of my ancestors. In 2013 I took over the family domain, which makes me the proud 5th generation winemaker. Our vineyards are located in the heart of the Pierres Dorées (the golden stones) in the Beaujolais region. Here we have been working our vineyards completely organically since 2005, but we also care for our herd of Salers cows. They walk around freely here and help us achieve even better biodiversity."

Anthony perol

9-

Duke of Burgundy Philip the Bold was not really fond of the gamay, because this grape would pose a threat to his favorite pinot noir. Under the guise of being 'harmful to health', he banished the gamay from Burgundy to the southern Beaujolais in 1395. Fortunately, his successors did not leave it at that and the gamay made its return not much later. Not entirely without merit. Fresh and fruity, light in color and with summer flavors and aromas of strawberries, raspberries, cherries and sometimes even banana. Gamay is your ideal partner in crime with a charcuterie board in the sun or with countless dishes. A real 'cool climate fan', which can also be drunk chilled because of its soft tannins.
