About the winemaker

“The name Llenca Plana comes from the name of the vineyard where the wine comes from. This refers to a flat stone that characterizes the plot. The vines here are surrounded by olive and cherry trees. I strongly believe that the different species influence each other, in fact: they bring out the best in each other. This way the grapes taste even fruitier and have more umami. “

86/100 Jancis Robinson
Medium-intensity crimson. Sweet and caressing on the palate. No excess alcohol or oak. Tannins already well in retreat. This seems like a friendly, expressive, very agreeable wine designed for early drinking.

Montsant, Spain
Montsant is the region that completely surrounds Priorat. For a long time it was part of the much larger Terragona. Only after wine growers protested against this did it gain its own status in 2011. The vineyards in this area are located at high altitudes and are often planted on steep slopes to take full advantage of the sun. The rocky subsoil contains a lot of limestone. This soil retains the sun's heat for a long time and reflects it back to the grapes. This ensures a nice ripening. The vines must root deeply here to be able to absorb water and nutrients.
