Novaripa Pinot Grigio Ramato

Abruzzen, Italy
Pinot grigio
Pinot grigio is called "gray" for a reason; the grapes are not entirely white. When the juice and colored skins macerate together after pressing, this unique rosé wine is created: Ramato. Fruity, peppery, and, above all, thirst-quenching!

About the winemaker

“Novaripa comes from a unique terroir; a mix of sea, hills and mountains. But it is also a mix between the inhospitable temperatures of the Maiella Mountains and the breeze of the Adriatic Sea. This unique combination brings out the best in local grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio.”

Abruzzen, Italy
Abruzzo is an Italian wine region in the central part of the country. This hilly and rugged region stretches from the Apennines to the rocky coastline of the Adriatic Sea. The combination of the cool mountain air with the warm air currents of the Adriatic Sea provides excellent wine-growing conditions. It is therefore not surprising that wine has been grown here for centuries, often from local grapes. The sub-area Terre di Chieti only got its own status in 1995, the climate here is also very suitable for growing Pinot grigio. But the more international Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon also do well here.
