"The Riesling grape originates from the village of Westhofen, 10 minutes' drive from our winery in Pfeddersheim. The first mentions of the grape in this region date back to the year 1511. Since my riesling vineyards are on the birthplace of the variety, I have also put this year on my bottles. Because tell me, how special is it that we are still working with the same grape variety here as we did over 500 years ago?"
