Grandfather Gamet laid the foundation for the champagne family business. He purchased two plots in Mardeuil and Fleur-la-Riviére as a simple farmer, unaware that the soil contained a great concentration of chalk and marl.
Winemaker's words:
"Together with my father, he started Champagne Philippe Gamet, and today the estate covers 9 hectares of vineyards. The plots consist mainly of Pinot Meunier (55%) and Pinot Noir (35%), and of course, we also planted Chardonnay (10%) for our classic champagne blend.”
