“My father, Alois Gross, was already a winemaker when, in 2004, he received a handwritten letter from Vienna. An elderly woman offered him her small house and vineyard in Gorca, Slovenia. She wanted the family property to be in good hands and, more importantly, that wine would be made there again. At first, my father hesitated, but after just one visit to the little hill full of vines, he knew enough: he was sold”
