About the winemaker

"My great-great-grandfather Pierre was the first négociant in Bordeaux. He did not produce grapes himself, but bought them to make wine from. This way of working was very unique at the time. With the profits, he bought vineyards and, in 1891, his own Château. Generation after generation passed these vineyards and gradually more vineyards were purchased. Currently, we have a handful of vineyards all over Bordeaux. This allows us to offer a wide range of flavours."

Entre-Deux-Mers is located in the heart of Bordeaux between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers. Despite making a lot of red wine in the region, the appellation Entre-Deux-Mers was created only for white wine. It was soon realised that the chalk and clay soil was a perfect substrate for planting white grapes. This Entre-Deux-Mers consists of sauvignon blanc (70%), sémillon (20%) and muscadelle (10%). The sauvignon blanc's 'ferocious' gooseberry aroma is softened by the sultry sémillon. The small amount of muscadelle adds aromas of exotic fruit and flowers. This creates a fresh, yet full-bodied wine with flavours of ripe white fruit, grapefruit and peach.
