About the winemaker
Our Domaine de Deux Vallée is located in Anjou, right on the Loire River. We have several vineyards spread across the villages of St Aubin, Rochefort, Chaume and Savennières. We once started out as apple growers, but wine kept calling to us. Our orchards were replanted with grape vines, because the terroir turned out to be super favourable for planting chenin blanc."

Anjou, France
The Anjou wine region - in the Loire Valley - is divided into two sub-regions. On the one hand, Anjou Noir; on a black soil of granite and iron and, on the other, Anjou Blanc; on a chalky soil of tuff. You might expect sauvignon blanc, but chenin blanc does great here! This chenin blanc comes from the 'white' tuff soil, so it develops tremendous minerality. The grape has an excellent acid structure, giving this wine insane storage potential. For those with patience; put it away. For the impatient wine drinker; open it immediately - it's already great to drink!
