About the winemaker
"When my family built their first wine cellar in 1880, they also bought two stone wine presses: ultramodern for that time! So modern in fact that many neighbours wanted to use them too. As a result, all the grapes were pressed together and everyone came to fill their own bottles. Not only the winegrowers themselves, but also the inhabitants of the surrounding villages and, later, tourists soon stood in line with their empty bottles."
