About the winemaker
Portugal has so much to offer when it comes to wine! We’ve selected 3 white and 3 red Portuguese wines in one box, so you can experience the excitement of this incredible wine country. In this box, you’ll find wines from Vinho Verde, Douro, and Alentejo—both red and white from each region! We begin in the north of Portugal, in Vinho Verde, the country’s largest wine region, known for its characteristically fresh style. The Quinta Picouto de Cima Loureiro is a white wine with typical floral aromas and crisp freshness. The red wine from Vinho Verde is Aphros Vinhão, a unique red that combines juicy cassis fruit with thrilling minerality. Next, we head to the Douro, a region famous for its indigenous grape varieties. Quinta Porrais Douro Branco is a blend of four grapes, resulting in a wine with minerality and aromas of citrus and flowers. Quinta da Pedra Alta Tinto is also a blend of four native grapes—this red bursts with the region’s signature juicy Port-like fruit and fresh acidity. We end our Portuguese journey in Alentejo. The white here is FitaPreta Branco Ancestral, a rich, gastronomic wine made for the dining table. The final wine in the box is Bojador Alentejo Tinto, a true powerhouse with depth, body, and strength. Enjoy the taste of Portugal with this tasting box!
