About the wines
We start this box with a special Vinho Verde from Portugal. This relatively unknown grape variety produces surprisingly fresh and floral wines. This makes it an ideal accompaniment to ceviche, fresh dishes with green vegetables such as beans or green asparagus, but it is also a “must try” with seafood. Of course, the “sommelier favorite” Riesling should definitely not be missing from this box. The queen of the German vineyards goes fantastic with everything with peppers and soy, but it is also an excellent choice with light fish dishes. The last white wine in the box was made by an old top sommelier: Bruno Murciano. His wine combines fresh minerals with ripe fruit, making it an ideal combination for oily fish, stuffed zucchini or even poultry. We kick off the red wines in this box with a cabernet franc. This is truly a red “sommelier favorite”. Delicious for drinks, but also an excellent partner for poultry, pork, celeriac or cheeses. On to the Chianti of winegrower Leopoldo. In this wine you can actually taste all the herbs from Italian cuisine. As a result, it is hard to imagine a better partner for this kitchen. We close the box with the Caprices from farmer Kirsten. Zei makes this special wine in the south of France. The wine really excels in its pure fruit such as cassis and blackcurrants. In addition, this wine has the special combination of power and elegance. This makes it the ideal accompaniment to a beautiful Côte de Veau.
